About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled HRIS Manager to lead the strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization of our Human Capital Management (HCM) systems. This role will serve as the primary owner of HR technology and will lead a large-scale HCM implementation, driving cross‑functional projects that improve HR, payroll, benefits, and employee experience.
The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and operationally strategic, with strong project management capabilities and proven experience leading end‑to‑end HCM implementations. Experience implementing and administering Rippling is highly preferred.
What you'll do
Key Responsibilities – HR Technology Strategy & Systems Ownership
- Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for HR systems including HCM, payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and employee lifecycle platforms.
- Evaluate system capabilities and recommend enhancements, integrations, or new technology solutions.
- Ensure HRIS architecture supports scalability, automation, compliance, and data integrity.
HCM Implementation & Project Leadership
- Lead end‑to‑end implementation of HCM systems including configuration, data migration, integrations, testing, and go‑live.
- Serve as project manager for HR technology initiatives including timelines, milestones, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate project using project management tools and communication.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and vendors during implementations.
- Drive process mapping and redesign aligned with system capabilities.
- Oversee workflow configuration including onboarding, lifecycle events, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
- Manage user acceptance testing (UAT), issue tracking, and resolution during implementation.
Data Management & Reporting
- Ensure HR data integrity, security, and compliance across systems.
- Develop HR dashboards, analytics, and reporting to support strategic decision making.
- Partner with Finance and leadership on workforce analytics.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate HR workflows and reduce manual processes.
- Improve the employee and manager experience through streamlined systems.
- Develop documentation including procedures, governance standards, and user guides.
Stakeholder Support & Training
- Serve as the primary HRIS support resource for HR and business stakeholders.
- Provide system training for HR team members, managers, and employees.
- Manage vendor relationships and support tickets.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of HRIS experience including system configuration and administration.
- 2+ years leading HCM implementations or major HR technology projects.
- Demonstrated HRIS project management experience including implementation planning and execution.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes including payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience managing system integrations, data migration, and testing processes.
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS reporting and data analytics.
Highly Preferred
- Direct Rippling implementation and administration experience.
- Experience implementing modern cloud-based HCM platforms.
- Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or similar).
- Experience with project management tools (i.e. Jira)
- Experience supporting multi‑state or global HR operations.
- Knowledge of CA HR compliance and payroll regulations.

The pay range for this role is:
115,000 - 135,000 USD per year(Glendale, CA)
