This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate design-focused projects across a variety of public and commercial sectors. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to guide projects from planning and concept development through construction documentation, ensuring high-quality design outcomes. The position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can balance independent work with team collaboration. You will leverage technical expertise in design, BIM, and construction standards to enhance project efficiency and client satisfaction. This role also involves exploring innovative tools, including AI applications, to improve design processes. Strong communication skills are essential for client engagement, internal coordination, and delivering clear, visually compelling presentations.
- Collaborate with project management and support services teams to ensure projects are planned, scheduled, and executed effectively.
- Participate in preliminary design activities, including master planning, concept design, programming, feasibility studies, and facility assessments.
- Develop programming and design documentation, presentations, and construction documents as required.
- Create and review written narratives, graphic exhibits, renderings, and BIM models to ensure clarity, compliance, and constructability.
- Perform quality reviews on BIM models, clash detection, and project documentation, maintaining adherence to standards and owner requirements.
- Research and evaluate AI and other design tools to enhance project delivery and innovation.
- Participate in client meetings, prepare agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes, and support contract or project requirements documentation.
- Produce final reports, including graphics, charts, tables, and written narratives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project and organizational objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field preferred.
- 7–9 years of experience in the architecture/engineering industry, with exposure to all phases of design from programming through construction administration.
- Technical understanding of design and construction, including documents, building codes, ADA requirements, materials, detailing, furniture/fixtures/equipment, value engineering, and construction delivery models.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, and Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with public and commercial projects is preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills for client engagement and internal coordination.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful with a high level of responsiveness.
- Competitive salary range: $80,000 – $140,000 per year.
