IT Project Manager at Jobgether – Canada Creek, Nova Scotia

This role is a senior IT project management position responsible for leading medium to large-scale technology initiatives from inception through successful delivery. You will plan, execute, and oversee projects across software, infrastructure, systems integration, and cloud environments, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives. The role requires close collaboration with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors, providing clarity, governance, and direction in complex environments. You will proactively manage risks, dependencies, and changes while motivating cross-functional teams to achieve goals. Strong communication, technical understanding, and proven leadership are essential to ensure seamless project execution and measurable business impact. This position offers the opportunity to influence IT strategy and operational efficiency in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects, including planning, execution, and closure, ensuring scope, budget, and timelines are met
• Develop detailed project plans, resource allocations, and budgets, and maintain project documentation and governance standards
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate communication, and manage expectations across business units, vendors, and development teams
• Identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies, and manage change control processes
• Provide regular updates, reports, and dashboards to leadership, demonstrating project progress and performance
• Motivate and guide project teams, including architects, developers, testers, and operational staff, ensuring clear responsibilities and effective collaboration
• Oversee technical delivery, including software development, infrastructure, cloud, and system integration projects, supporting QA and production deployments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in IT environments, managing enterprise-level projects
• Strong technical understanding of SDLC, IT systems, networks, and applications
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies
• Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and large project teams
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong risk management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Preferred certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum Master, ITIL Foundation, or cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
