Mill Lake Seniors Community | Abbotsford, BC

Are you a Registered Dietician who is passionate about improving quality of life for older adults? Mill Lake Seniors Community is seeking a Dietician (0.4 FTE) to support resident nutrition, clinical care, and dietary programs in our long-term care community in Abbotsford.

This is a part-time opportunity (approximately 15 hours per week) offering flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative care environment.

Our interdisciplinary team works closely together to ensure residents receive nutritious, culturally appropriate, and high-quality meals that support health, comfort, and enjoyment.

What You’ll Do

As the Dietician, you will play a key role in clinical nutrition and resident wellbeing by:

  • Completing nutritional assessments and developing individualized care plans
  • Monitoring nutritional status, weight changes, and therapeutic diets
  • Collaborating with nursing, dietary, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Supporting menu planning to meet clinical, cultural, and regulatory requirements
  • Providing guidance related to dysphagia diets, texture modification, and supplements
  • Supporting compliance with Long-Term Care and accreditation standards
  • Educating staff and contributing to quality improvement initiatives as needed
What You Bring
  • Registered Dietician status with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia
  • Experience in Long-Term Care, seniors’ care, or healthcare settings (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of geriatric nutrition and therapeutic diets
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Compassion, professionalism, and a resident‑first mindset
