Assistant Superintendent Driving Excellence in Multi-Family and Commercial Construction

Job Overview

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $70,000$90,000 per year (depending on experience).

  • Location: Clackamas, OR (Regional travel required).

  • Job/Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt.

The Opportunity You will serve as a vital onsite leader, bridging the gap between project planning and high-quality physical execution. This role offers the chance to refine your management skills under the guidance of seasoned Superintendents while directly influencing the skyline of the Portland metro area. You will be empowered to drive daily progress and uphold the professional standards that define Beaudin Construction.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Support the Superintendent in managing daily onsite construction operations for assigned projects

  • Assist in supervising field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely, safe, and quality work

  • Maintain and distribute project schedules, including weekly 3-week lookaheads

  • Document and upload daily job logs, photos, and safety reports

  • Assist with Total Quality Control implementation to minimize rework and post-completion warranty issues

  • Help manage RFIs, change orders, and subcontractor coordination

  • Ensure code compliance, jobsite safety programs, and accurate project documentation

  • Conduct safety orientations and daily oversight, and assist with subcontractor meetings

  • Coordinate inspections (building, fire marshal, elevator, etc.), manage punch lists, and support project closeout

  • Maintain organized material staging, site logistics, and equipment tracking

  • Foster positive relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and project managers

  • Support project handover and ensure proper filing of all project documentation

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial or multi-family construction field management

  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong leadership and professionalism in supervising field operations

  • Ability to delegate and ensure accountability across field teams

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and submittals

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and safety compliance

  • Experience with construction documentation platforms (Procore, Bluebeam, Jonas Premier, Dropbox, Fieldwire, or equivalent)

  • Familiarity with MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be able to work onsite and coordinate across multiple job functions and teams
