About This Position
Schneps Media is the leading local media company serving New York City, Westchester and Long Island. Our award-winning content reaches over 2 million readers per week across two daily newspapers, the largest group of community newspapers, magazines, websites, email newsletters, social media channels and targeted business and community events as well as festivals.
Our Events division is seeking an experienced Events Operations Associate to help us operate, execute and build on our speciality events and expo business.
Responsibilities include:
Execution of expos and specialty event sales including but not limited to: coordinating and booking venues and vendors, creating and overseeing run of show
Work with Schneps sales team to garner sales assistance
Create packages and marketing to sales for events
Develop relationships with businesses connected to audiences
Lead the design and execution of event marketing
Lead the production, dissemination and promotion of multi-media content
Coordinate asset collection and creation from sponsors, honorees, guests, etc
Work with designers to create all promotional and branding materials ensuring they are up to date and approved by sponsor(s)
Gather feedback and communicate with editors
Managing and updating web content
Serve as primary liaison with ad-ops, design and editorial for promotion and integration
Provide information and updates to clients with utmost professionalism
Attend and work at live events
Communicate and act as liaison with attendees pre and post event
Create and send out surveys after event(s) to attendees for feedback and see how we can improve
Ensure sponsor(s) are given adequate data and information as per their contract(s) post event including: generating post event reports, analyzing KPIs (attendance rates, ad impressions, ROI for sponsors)
Requirements:
- Must have 1-3 years working in events and customer service
This role starts out very heavy with administrative tasks; adept organization skills are key to the success of this role
Event schedules vary from week to week. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Ability to problem-solve and think on their feet
Team player but also productive working alone
Ability to deal with a wide range of clients, including high net worth individuals
Our events are all of NYC, Long Island and possibly the east end of Long Island. This person must be able to drive and have a car.
