About This Position
Location: TIGER Drylac USA – St. Charles, IL
Department: Production
Reports to: Process Engineer – North America
TIGER Drylac is seeking an entry level or recent grad Summer Intern Process Engineer.
Key Responsibilities- Supports the engineering team with designated technical tasks
- Assists engineers with design and development of engineering solutions
- Performing technical calculations and analysis using relevant software
- Creates and updates engineering drawings and documentation using CAD tools
- Gathers and analyzes data from testing and experiments
- Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations
- Supports project management tasks like scheduling and tracking progress
- Participates in design reviews and brainstorming sessions
- Other duties as assigned
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in engineering (specify relevant discipline like mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.)
- LEAN experience required
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and concepts
- Proficient in relevant software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- 5S, root cause analysis, Shanin, standard work, waste reduction, flow pull, value stream, TPM
- Process improvement/continuous improvement knowledge
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, ISO systems, and OSHA standards.
- English (required)
- Spanish considered an asset
- Must be able to work schedule (8 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday)
- Work in a manufacturing plant environment with industrial equipment
