Role Summary:
The Coordinator, Enrolment is responsible for supporting and guiding prospective and admitted students through the full admissions lifecycle, from initial inquiry to enrolment. The role independently evaluates and processes applications for domestic and international applicants, including admissions and scholarship eligibility decisions, in accordance with institutional and partner‑university policies.
In addition to admissions responsibilities, the position provides operational support to Student Accounts and the Financial Aid Office during peak periods. By integrating admissions, financial aid, and tuition billing functions, the Coordinator plays a key role in delivering a seamless student experience and contributing directly to institutional enrolment targets.
Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate applications, transcripts, and supporting documentation to make independent admission decisions and apply admission criteria across a range of applicant categories, including domestic, international, transfer, mature, and special students.
- Verify academic documents and identify discrepancies or fraudulent submissions and align them with recruitment, academic, and visa timelines.
- Respond to inquiries from prospective students, families, and counsellors regarding admissions, programs, scholarships, student life, and admissions pathways.
- Assist with the student billing process including the payments, fee schedules, and financial records, providing student support during high-volume periods.
- Support the assessments of financial aid, scholarships, bursaries, and award disbursements for new and existing students.
- Collaborate with campus partners to support the enrolment finalization and compliance with institutional policies.
- Produce reports and maintain accurate applicant and student records using Huron’s enterprise systems.
- Flexible with scheduling to support some evenings and weekends required during peak admissions cycles and recruitment events.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution required.
- Minimum three (3) years of administrative experience in a post-secondary environment; admissions or enrolment experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to exercise sound judgment independently.
- Strong customer service orientation and cultural sensitivity.
- Proficiency with student information systems, CRM platforms, MS Office, and financial software.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
