Director, Sustainable Operations at Jobgether – India

In this leadership role, you will drive end-to-end energy management and sustainability operations across complex real estate portfolios, ensuring efficient, compliant, and data-driven energy performance. You will lead a small team while coordinating with broader stakeholders to deliver energy monitoring, reporting, and conservation initiatives aligned with global sustainability objectives. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical expertise, including the management of energy platforms, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of energy management systems. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impact while improving operational efficiency and cost effectiveness. Acting as the primary point of contact for energy-related programs in your region, you will also develop business cases for sustainability initiatives and support the rollout of innovative pilot projects. • Lead and manage end-to-end energy management services, including energy supply, demand monitoring, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee a team and broader stakeholder group to deliver sustainability and energy conservation initiatives across assigned operations.
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of Energy Management Systems (EnMS) aligned with global sustainability frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with energy regulations and corporate sustainability standards, including global energy management program requirements.
• Develop and evaluate business cases for energy efficiency and conservation projects to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct energy assessments, identify performance gaps, and recommend actionable improvements.
• Manage energy management platforms and tools (such as Envizi) to track, analyze, and optimize energy performance.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and support scaling of successful pilot initiatives across regions or portfolios.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment on sustainability and operational goals.

• 10+ years of experience in energy management, sustainability, facilities management, or related operational leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading energy or sustainability programs in complex, multi-site or global environments.
• Strong understanding of energy management systems, sustainability frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience working with energy data platforms (e.g., Envizi or similar tools).
• Ability to develop business cases and perform financial or operational analysis for sustainability initiatives.
• Strong technical understanding of energy supply, demand, and efficiency optimization practices.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders effectively.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience in real estate, infrastructure, or large-scale operational environments is a plus.
