The Opportunity

You will be a vital member of our field operations team, providing the technical support and labor necessary to build out critical fiber networks. This role is designed for a self-driven individual who is eager to master equipment operation and advance their career within a growing, employee-owned company.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Execute daily field tasks with a self-driven approach to ensure all project milestones are met on time.
  • Assist in the operation of specialized machinery and hand tools to install fiber optic infrastructure.
  • Maintain rigorous safety standards on every job site to protect yourself, your team, and the community.
  • Manage job site housekeeping and organization to promote a professional and efficient work environment.
  • Perform routine manual tasks including trenching, cable pulling, and site restoration with high precision.
  • Collaborate with Crew Leaders to troubleshoot site obstacles and improve daily operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction, utilities, or a related skilled trade.
  • Proven track record of reliability and arriving on time for all scheduled shifts.
  • Basic experience or familiarity with operating light to medium construction equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow complex safety protocols in various outdoor environments.
  • Strong physical stamina and the willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and overtime.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience specifically within the telecommunications or fiber optics industry.
  • Strong desire for career advancement and a willingness to undergo paid technical training.
  • Basic understanding of underground utility locating and safety markings.
  • Ability to operate a mini-excavator
