About This Position
The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a part-time Lecturer position to teach Microbiology lecture from 18 May 2026 to 27 June 2026. The position is outside of the tenure stream and involves teaching BIOSC 1850 Microbiology lecture in-person on our Pittsburgh campus. This is an accelerated summer term course that meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 to 11:45 AM. Minimum qualifications are a PhD in Biology or a related field with teaching experience; preferred qualifications include experience teaching microbiology, teaching lecture courses, publication of postgraduate research in a relevant area, and formal training in teaching.
