Rest Area Worker at Adelante Development Center – Milan, New Mexico

Join our team at Adelante and help create a clean, welcoming space for travelers passing through one of New Mexico’s beautiful rest areas. If you enjoy hands-on work, being outdoors, and taking pride in keeping spaces safe and comfortable for others, this could be the perfect role for you.

What your day will look like:

You’ll be the friendly face behind a clean, well-maintained rest area. From keeping restrooms and picnic areas spotless to stocking supplies and handling light maintenance, your work will make a real difference for every visitor who stops by. You’ll work closely with your Site Supervisor and enjoy a steady routine with meaningful impact.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, fountains, tables, and common areas
• Stocking restroom supplies and maintaining vault toilets
• Keeping parking lots and walkways clean and safe
• Removing debris, cobwebs, graffiti, and reporting any facility concerns
• Performing light maintenance and other assigned tasks

Schedule & Pay:

Full-time | Sunday thru Wednesday 6:00am - 5:00pm.
Starting pay: $15.50 per hour

Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Five years general work experience preferred.
• Two years custodial experience preferred.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, with internal and external customers of Adelante.
• Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures.

Other Requirements: Must be pass background/fingerprint investigation and pre-employment drug screening. Must possess a valid NM driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance. Must have own reliable transportation and agency insurable driving record. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly, and be able to remain on feet for most of the workday, and be able to climb ladders for cleaning purposes. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
