Payroll and Benefits Administrator
Detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Administrator with experience managing payroll and employee benefits for organizations with complex company structures and more than 100 employees. Skilled in processing payroll for a mixed workforce that includes hourly and commission-based employees, ensuring accuracy across multiple pay types and departments.
Experienced in reviewing and maintaining timesheets, administering weekly payroll, and handling payroll tax compliance, including Colorado state requirements. Knowledgeable in benefits administration, employee enrollments, deductions, and ongoing support for benefit programs. Strong ability to manage confidential employee data, resolve payroll discrepancies, and maintain compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for 100+ employees
- Manage payroll across multiple company structures/entities
- Handle mixed compensation models, including hourly and commission-based pay
- Review, verify, and process employee timesheets
- Administer payroll taxes, including Colorado tax compliance
- Coordinate employee benefits enrollment, deductions, and updates
- Maintain accurate payroll and benefits records
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company payroll regulations
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, wage laws, and tax reporting
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, including Colorado state payroll taxes
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and/or benefits administration
- Experience processing payroll for 100+ employees
- Familiarity with mixed compensation structures, including hourly, salary, and commission-based employees
- Experience processing weekly payroll cycles
- Experience managing and auditing employee timesheets
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling payroll data
- Ability to maintain confidential employee and payroll information
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field
