Job Overview

Taylor International Corp is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Managers to support commercial, industrial, and federal construction projects from preconstruction through close-out. This full-time, onsite role is ideal for self-starters who are eager to deepen their knowledge of the entire construction lifecycleincluding bidding, estimating, document control, and field coordination. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and can confidently read plans, manage RFIs, and collaborate with Owners and subcontractors alike, this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers with preconstruction, estimating, and bid package preparation.

  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and clarity.

  • Manage and track submittals, RFIs, and project documentation throughout the construction process.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and Owner representatives to ensure smooth project flow.

  • Attend project meetings and document key takeaways, assignments, and deadlines.

  • Assist with scheduling, procurement tracking, and cost control tasks.

  • Maintain up-to-date project logs and reports, ensuring information is accurate and timely.

  • Help enforce jobsite safety, quality control, and compliance with contractual requirements.

  • Participate in project close-out activities, including punch lists, warranty tracking, and documentation.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management or related roles.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.

  • Familiarity with submittal logs, RFI workflows, and document control processes.

  • Strong communication skills and professionalism when working with Owners, subcontractors, and field teams.

  • Proficiency in construction software tools and Microsoft Office Suite; Autodesk Build experience is a plus.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a dynamic construction team.
