Product Owner
We are seeking an organized and delivery-focused Product Owner to join our Product team. You will work closely with the Product Manager(s) to translate product vision and requirements into actionable deliverables that guide development teams. This role ensures that the Product Manager’s priorities and specifications are implemented accurately and efficiently throughout the delivery process.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Product Manager(s) to understand the product vision, roadmap, and detailed requirements.
- Translate approved product requirements into clear, implementable specifications that guide development and testing activities.
- Maintain and refine the product backlog to ensure clarity, completeness, and alignment with Product Management direction.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives to support timely and high-quality delivery.
- Provide clarification to engineering and QA teams on requirements, and intended outcomes.
- Validate that completed work meets defined acceptance criteria and business objectives set by the Product Manager.
- Monitor delivery progress and communicate status updates, risks, or dependencies to the Product Manager.
- Coordinate with UX/UI designers to ensure that design implementation aligns with defined requirements and user needs.
- Support testing, release readiness, and feature demonstrations in collaboration with the Product Manager and QA teams.
- Stay informed about system functionality and configuration to provide accurate context during development and validation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product delivery processes and team practices.
Requirements:
- Degree/Certification in a relevant field or 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a related product delivery role.
- Proven experience supporting software delivery in an Agile environment.
- Strong understanding of backlog management, requirement elaboration, and validation practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret requirements, assess dependencies, and support prioritization decisions led by the Product Manager.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under competing priorities.
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles and software development practices.
- Experience with Agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Experience and knowledge of the Justice Sector, particularly litigation, is desirable.

The pay range for this role is:
110,000 - 150,000 USD per year(JTI Los Angeles, USA)
