Pool & Beach Attendant (seasonal) at Amelia Island Equity Club Inc – Amelia Island, Florida

I. POSITION PURPOSE

To assist Recreation Supervisor, Club Events Manager, and other management in delivering professional services while maintaining a well-kept Pool Deck and Beach. Assist with daily engagement of membership of all ages during special activities and events.

II. ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Monitor pool and check in in hot and often difficult weather conditions
• Maintain member names and keep in good relations
• Work within a team to run the pool with the highest level of customer service
• Know and actively enforce pool rules for the safety of members and guests
• Ensure all members and their guests are abiding by the guidelines and policies of the Club
• Actively engage membership of all ages
• Assist with activities for kids
• Distribute towels upon member entry
• Maintain towel inventory in towel shed
• Set up and breakdown pool deck and beach operations daily
• Operation of the pool, cleanliness of the deck, stocking of towels and cleanliness of bathroom (making hourly checkups)
• Maintain locker room par levels
• Assist with Driftwood service, as necessary
• Helping service staff clean up
• Cleaning and maintaining beach and dunes
• Wear proper and clean uniforms at all times
• Other duties as assigned

III. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• At least 16 years of age
• Experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, preferred
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to a wide variety of constituents, including both children and adults
• Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
• Excellent interpersonal/relationship-building and customer service skills
