Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of professional level of nursing duties for patients served in the clinical areas noted below.

Qualifications

Education

• Required
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited program of nursing
  • Associate's degree in nursing
• Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Master's degree in nursing

Experience:

• Preferred
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in nursing

Certification/Licensure:

ICU/Tower ICU

Required

• Registered Nurse (RN), with Authorization to Practice in the State of Texas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Required within ninety (90) days of start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • Required within one (1) year of start date
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) Certification
  • Required within one (1) year of start date
• NIH Stroke Scale (NHSS) Certification
  • Required within one (1) year of start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Required within two (2) years of start date
