Pack-Off Technician at Carlton Packing Company LLC – Carlton, Oregon

General Description

The Pack Off Technician is responsible for ensuring proper sorting and packaging of an assortment of meat products and the organized storage of the finished product. Additionally, this position is responsible for the organization of equipment at the end of the production process.

Job Duties

• Operate Multivak packaging machine to package meat products.
• Sort, box and palletize meat products.
• Move product to either coolers or freezers accordingly.
• Work with others in a fast-paced team environment.
• Learn and follow regulations set by the USDA.
• Be aware of and follow strict safety guidelines.
• Willing to work overtime on short notice or the possibility of lighter workdays
• Typical Work Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday

Technology, Equipment, Certifications (i.e. 10-key, phone, chopper)

• Use of machinery to wrap meat and place straps on boxes of finished products.
• Computer labeling and inventory using Merit-Trax Programs.
• Pallet Jack – we certify in house.

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions

• Heavy lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Long periods of walking and standing.
