The Bachem Group is investing in a new site in Sisslerfeld in Northwestern Switzerland. This step is part of the long-term strategy to expand production capacity by the end of the decade. The new production site will play a central role in achieving these goals.

The initiation phase of the project offers you unique opportunities to shape the future organization. We are looking for an experienced Construction Management Coordinator / Construction Manager (f/m/d), 100% on the client side, who will be responsible for the professional management of the construction site, the coordination of external CM teams, and the assurance of quality, safety, and efficiency in demanding construction projects.

Your tasks:

  • Main point of contact and advisor to the program team for all CM-related matters
  • Support for sub‑project managers and the program manager in CM processes
  • Ensuring execution quality, schedule adherence, cost targets, and occupational safety
  • Further development of CM processes, workflows, and interfaces
  • Acting in the role of Client‑Side Construction Manager together with the construction project lead
  • Authority to issue instructions to the external CM team on site
  • Forwarding of defects, deviations, or improvement proposals
  • Intervention in safety‑critical situations and stopping work when necessary
  • Regular site inspections to verify safety, order, and cleanliness
  • Conducting or supporting risk analyses during ongoing operations
  • Monitoring compliance with HSE requirements and safety concepts
  • Interface between projects, operations, facility management, and other initiatives
  • Participation in construction, safety, and ad‑hoc meetings
  • Ensuring transparent and proactive communication
  • Review of execution plans, schedules, method statements, and safety documentation
  • Monitoring execution according to specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements (including GMP/GDP where relevant)
  • Support during inspections, handovers, site checks, and defect management
  • Documentation of site diary, deviations, defects, and construction progress
  • Support with change orders, claims, and evaluation of external services
  • Coordination of logistics, closures, access control, and site infrastructure
  • Development of site, safety, and logistics concepts

Your profile:

  • Degree in civil engineering, architecture, building services engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in construction management, ideally in regulated environments (pharma, chemical, healthcare)
  • Experience in managing external CM mandates or general contractors
  • Strong knowledge of occupational safety, construction site logistics, and site organization
  • Confident handling of Swiss standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance processes
  • Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a solution‑oriented mindset
  • Ability to represent the client role confidently and collaboratively
  • Very good German and English language skills
