Description

Job Summary:
The Laborer performs a variety of tasks under close supervision of higher-level employees. These tasks may include assisting with extra workload, covering absences and vacations, and maintaining a clean manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
Help loading trucks (strapping loads down and guiding the operator to set loads on evenly)
Pick boards and strapping up in the yard for good housekeeping
Work as a helper to machine operators in various production positions
Paint pipe that has been manufactured or fabricated
Be trained to run forklift in various operations
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing and walking.
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times.
Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
Ability to climb, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and reach above shoulder level.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
Must be able to work in different positions for a very long period of time and ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time.
Must be able to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment required for each job task (Steel toed shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat).
