MELE Associates, Inc. (MELE) is seeking a highly capable Management Analyst to provide front office support in a fast-paced, mission critical environment. This position supports the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Production Modernization and Materials Management (NA-19).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate responses to Congressional inquiries, taskers, and reporting requirements;
  • Support preparation of briefings, talking points, and background materials for engagements with external stakeholders;
  • Track and manage actions related to NA-19, intergovernmental, and public affairs activities;
  • Assist in the review, interpretation, and implementation of NNSA and DOE directives;
  • Support NA-19’s responses to U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) and Inspector General (IG) audits, including data calls, documentation collection, and corrective action tracking;
  • Maintain awareness of evolving policy requirements and ensure alignment with NA-19 processes;
  • Support FOIA response activities by gathering, organizing, and preparing responsive materials;
  • Collaborate closely with NA-19 senior leaders, program managers, and technical experts to support cross cutting initiatives;
  • Assist with workflow management, task tracking, and internal coordination across the NA-19 enterprise;
  • Prepare high quality written products, including memos, summaries, reports, and decision materials;
  • Strong interest in government affairs, national security, or federal program management;
  • Prior experience working in the executive branch, on Capitol Hill, at NNSA, or within another federal agency or department;
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for senior audiences;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders, technical experts, and cross functional teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • College Bachelor of Arts degree with major or specialization in related field;
  • At least 3 years prior experience supporting congressional, non-government organization, or federal government programs;
  • Excellent written and oral communication;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Prior experience with correspondence management;
  • Knowledge of eDOCS;
  • Customer service oriented;
  • Hard worker that shows initiative;
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools and Adobe Acrobat;
  • Outstanding team player able to work with a diverse group of people stationed in different geographic locations;
  • Works well with short turnaround deadlines in fast paced office environment and is adaptable to changing priorities;
  • Familiarity with NNSA Management and Operations (M&O) model;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting high visibility front office or executive level operations.
  • Understanding of nuclear security enterprise missions, modernization programs, or federal oversight structures.
  • Master’s degree in political science, communications, economics, history, or English.

LOCATION: This is a full-time onsite position in Washington, DC.

SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. The salary range for this position is 130k-138k.
