About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinate day-to-day manufacturing and equipment resources in conjunction with production supervisor.
- Ensure a safe work environment by monitoring adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Work with planning groups in creating achievable production schedules while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Ensure product quality by monitoring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Hiring production staff and monitor training to ensure it is effective and documented.
- Evaluate production employees and address behavioral issues along with conflict resolution.
- Mentor production staff and supervisor with an emphasis on Delcath’s Core Values.
- Complete root cause investigations and implement solid corrective actions for NCRs and CAPAs
- Coordinate activities with warehouse supervisor to ensure raw material replenishment while minimizing disruption to production.
- Work with engineering department to identify opportunities for process improvements to improve, production yields and efficiencies.
- Complete ERP transactions.
- Review production data to generate reports, establish key metrics and develop improvement plans.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Production Manager will supervise the production supervisor, machine operators and production assemblers either directly or indirectly. The Production Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees: planning, assigning, directing and approving supervisory responsibilities for the work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. The Production Manager must be capable of working with very little direct supervision needed from superior (weekly contact with direct supervisor).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial management or engineering.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees and outside organization
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and create and/or interpret spreadsheets and graphs.
