BDI Inc. is seeking a skilled Service Electrician Technician to join our field operations team. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician who excels in troubleshooting, repairs, and customer service. As the first point of contact for many of our clients, youll perform service calls, preventive maintenance, and small installation projects for commercial, industrial, and residential customers. The Service Technician ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local codes.

Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to service calls and perform diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on electrical systems.
Troubleshoot electrical circuits, panels, lighting, and control systems.
Install and maintain wiring, conduit, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and related devices.
Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure reliability and compliance.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Ensure all work complies with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and local codes.
Communicate clearly with clients about service work, issues, and solutions.
Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and time logs.
Keep company vehicle, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in safe working order.
Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all company and OSHA safety procedures.
35 years of experience in electrical service or maintenance.
Journeyman Electrician license preferred (apprentice or equivalent experience considered).
Strong knowledge of the NEC and industry safety standards.
Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to manage multiple service calls independently.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
High school diploma or GED required.

Full-Time: Monday Friday
Occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends depending on service demand
Primary work is onsite at customer sites across commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
Daily travel required; occasional out-of-town work may include per diem.
