Job Summary/Objective

RedTown Technical Services, LLC is seeking experienced Equipment Installers for our Corpus Christi Project location. The Equipment Installer will be responsible for working as a contributing member of the installation crew installing Strut Channel, working closely with the crew, and assisting with the mechanical portions of the installation process. This position assists, helps organize and performs the equipment layout, light rigging, transporting and installation of various types of machine shop equipment. The installer will work as part of a team to safely and successfully complete equipment relocations and installations.

Qualifications/Education Requirements

  • Familiar with Mechanical Equipment installation process
  • General knowledge of construction technics
  • Electrical, plumbing, compressed air piping experience is a plus
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction blueprints and blueprint symbols and schematics
  • Working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders, stairs, and performing repetitious duties such as lifting, bending, standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools used for installation
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • Valid Driver's License

Essential Functions

  • Layout, assembly, and installation of Strut Channel support members
  • Assist with electrical, water, compressed air, and ventilation pipe connections
  • Assemble shop furniture, shelving and rack systems
  • Prepare and maintain a clean workspace
  • Receiving, inventorying, stocking delivered materials and equipment
  • Additional duties may be required as needed

Additional Eligibility/Qualifications

  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must pass Military background check

  • Lift/Carry 40-100 lbs - Occasionally (.25-2.5 daily hours)
  • Lift/Carry over 100 lbs - Never
  • Walk - Frequently (2.5-5.5 daily hours)
  • Reach above - Frequently (2.5-5.5 daily hours)
  • Bend/Stoop - Frequently (2.5-5.5 daily hours)
  • Using hands for pushing/pulling - Frequently (2.5-5.5 daily hours)
  • Fine manipulation - Frequently (2.5-5.5 hours)
  • Stress level - moderate

Work Environment

Working mainly in a climate-controlled environment, some outdoor exposure can be expected while relocating/transporting equipment.
