How You Will Make an Impact

• Operate heavy excavators and loaders with precision to execute complex earthmoving and site preparation tasks.

• Maintain a deep understanding of civil construction sequences to ensure efficient workflow integration on-site.

• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure all machinery operates at peak safety and performance.

• Collaborate with the Superintendent and field crews to meet strict project deadlines and grade specifications.

• Utilize late-model technology and machinery to maximize production while minimizing material waste.

• Adhere to rigorous safety standards on commercial and federal project sites to protect the team and the fleet.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience operating heavy equipment in a civil construction environment.

• Expert-level proficiency in the operation and handling of excavators and front-end loaders.

• Thorough understanding of civil construction principles, including grading, trenching, and site logistics.

• Proven reliability and a strong work ethic suited for high-stakes, onsite field operations.

• Ability to travel to and work onsite on projects along the RT 70 corridor, from Battlement to Vail and surrounding areas.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Experience operating machinery on government or federal job sites with strict compliance requirements.

• Ability to read and interpret engineered site plans and grade stakes accurately.
