Senior Electrical Engineer at Gulf Management – Woburn, Massachusetts

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the engineering team in new product design and development projects.
• Lead the design and testing efforts for electronic circuits and systems.
• Coordinate firmware and hardware integration to ensure successful project completion.
• Must follow all company policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Lead the engineering team in current product support and design upgrades.
• Research component specifications to support manufacturing in managing component obsolescence.
• Verify that all product specifications meet the requirements of compliance codes.
• Interface with sales team to adopt specifications, design criteria, and marketing requirements for potential new products.
• Provide guidance and support for product layout and packaging CAD design.
• Provide guidance and support to the manufacturing and test departments.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Must possess good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of hardware and software integration and systems design.
• Solid background and proven experience in the design of analog, digital, RF, and power electronic circuits and systems.
• Extensive background in completing reliable and efficient product designs.
• Proven experience with industry standard circuit simulation and development tools.
• Extensive experience with board layout tools using industry standard software packages.
• Good communications skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts at a level required for electrical engineering.
• Ability to manage time between two or more projects at one time.
• The ability to apply knowledge and skills to achieve intended results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Experience electronic circuits and systems design.
• Proven experience in applying good engineering practices to achieve successful results.
