About This Position

About the Role:

The Junior Recruiter supports the recruiting function by helping source candidates, screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). This is an entry-level to early-career recruiting role designed for someone who is organized, people-focused, and excited to learn full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with job intake details and posting positions to job boards and internal channels

  • Review incoming applications and complete initial candidate outreach

  • Schedule phone screens and interviews, confirm availability, and communicate next steps

  • Maintain interview calendars, send confirmations, and follow up with candidates and hiring teams

  • Provide timely updates to candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience

  • Conduct basic sourcing on LinkedIn, job boards, and internal databases

  • Send outreach messages using approved templates and track responses

  • Build candidate slates for high-volume or frequently hired roles

  • Support referral efforts by coordinating follow-up and status updates

  • Conduct structured phone screens for entry-level and mid-level roles using provided questions

  • Capture and document screen notes and pass qualified candidates to the lead recruiter/hiring manager

  • Support background check, reference check, and offer process steps as assigned

  • Keep candidate records organized and up to date in the ATS (stage changes, notes, dispositions)

  • Track basic recruiting metrics (pipeline activity, interviews scheduled, time-to-fill support)

  • Identify process gaps (slow responses, interview delays) and flag to the recruiting lead

QualificationsRequired
  • 0–2 years of recruiting, HR, staffing, scheduling, or customer-facing experience (internships count)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized; able to manage multiple roles and deadlines at once

  • Comfortable learning recruiting systems and working in an ATS

  • Professional judgment and ability to handle confidential information

Preferred
  • Experience with sourcing tools (Indeed)

  • Experience in [healthcare / clinical / life sciences / customer service / operations] hiring

  • Familiarity with structured interviewing and candidate screening
