LPN/Anesthesia Technician at Crouse Hospital – Syracuse, New York

Crouse’s Anesthesia team is hiring a Full Time LPN/Anesthesia Technician.

Pay Range: $20.50 - $35.87/hourly

Available Schedule: 1:00pm-9:30pm, with rotating of weekends, holidays & on-call

LPN/Anesthesia Technician Position Responsibilities:

• Assists the Anesthesia team in the preparation setup of surgical cases
• Cleaning, maintaining, and stocking the anesthesia equipment and carts between cases.
• Responds to requests for additional equipment/supplies during surgical cases and expedites the turnover between cases in a timely manner.
• Initiates patient monitoring prior to patient induction under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist/Anesthetist.
• Provides incidental teaching while supporting and reinforcing the established plan of care.

LPN/Anesthesia Technician Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
• Must have BLS (Basic Life Support) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire.
• Current certification with the Association of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year previous LPN experience in a direct patient care setting required.
• Previous critical care/anesthesia experience preferred.
