Warehouse Supervisor at Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery – East Brunswick, New Jersey

Shift 11 PM- 7:30 AM

• Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.

• Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity.

• Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.

• Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.

• Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.

• Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.

• Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.

• Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.

• High school diploma/GED required.

• Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position.

• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.

• Time management skills and the ability to delegate.

• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.

• Problem-solving skills.

• Above standard organizational skills necessary to follow sequence of operations, report and executed approved action(s) in relation to the multiple functions.

• Analytical thinking to identify the information needed to clarify a situation, seek that information from appropriate sources, to include the use of skillful questioning to draw out the data needed to support decision making.

• Excellent ability to communicate effectively, apply judgment and understand sense of urgency to support the sales, marketing, purchasing and production efforts.

• Ability to perform duties with minimal direction and handle ongoing assignments under the supervisor’s direction.

• Requires knowledge of standardized rules and considerable training or experience in handling and providing a high-level customer service.

At times, the position interacts and comes into contact with a production, manufacturing, and warehouse environment, which presents the following:

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high.

Use of protective hair, eye, and clothing coverings necessary when entering production area.

Products manufactured in the facility may contain peanuts, tree nuts, and other potential allergens.
