ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Strategic Merchandising Manager leads the creation and execution of merchandising strategies for assigned categories. This role will leverage market and analytical insights to complete category reviews and build detailed merchandising plans and product assortments. The Strategic Merchandising Manager will collaborate closely with the Partner, Marketing, Product and Supply Chain teams to translate strategies into executable plans, execute merchandising elements and ensure results.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, collaborative merchant to work across multiple aspects of the business and contribute to long-term growth.
What You'll Do Here:- Category strategy:
- Maintain a deep understanding of assigned product categories through market research, site experience analysis, performance analysis and cross-functional insights
- Conduct category strategy reviews to identify opportunities and tactics to achieve customer, sales and margin targets across assortment, promotion and experience levers
- Monitor performance of assigned categories vs plans. Identify and lead execution of actions to meet or exceed targets
- Lead analysis and / or planning for Merch for strategic initiatives or meetings
- Assortment optimization:
- Own assortment selection for assigned categories to capitalize on identified market opportunities and realize financial targets
- Analyze item performance and apply strategy and assortment guardrails to identify category assortments
- Lead assortment review process and execution of new assortment, collaborating with cross-functional partners
- Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate financial impacts of assortment plans
- Identify category-specific master data requirements and lead data cleansing
- Site merchandising:
- Create and maintain category-specific content for website features, either directly or partnering with internal teams and / or suppliers (content pages, navigation, etc.)
- Identify and recommend new site content and experiences to address customer needs based on analytics, feedback, surveys, and competitive analysis
- Maintain assortment data related to site features
- Merchandising execution:
- Participate in integrated planning process, inputting to marketing calendar and events to capitalize on opportunities
- Analyze performance and identify opportunities for optimization
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of direct experience within site merchandising, retail or a related field.
- Experience in the nutritional supplements industry is an asset.
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and build executable plans.
- Strong analytical skills, financial acumen and proficiency with Excel or Sheets.
- Experience with BI tools (Looker) an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and time-manage to deliver across a variety of priorities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with high adaptability to change and a bias for action.

Compensation range
The salary range for this role is between $94,000 CAD and $125,000 CAD. Fullscript shares salary ranges to support transparency and help candidates make informed decisions. The range shown reflects base salary only and does not include stock options, bonus, wellness stipends, or other benefits that are part of Fullscripts total rewards package.
Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and location. We review pay regularly to stay aligned with market data and internal equity. Benefits and total rewards may vary by region.
