MANAGER FACILITIES ENGINEERING in MORRIS, Illinois at Morris Hospital

• DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
  • Plans, organizes, and manages the activities of the Facilities Department for all of the organization’s facilities to ensure their safety, reliability, compliance with regulatory requirements, and attractiveness. Responsible for the implementation of the Fire Safety and Utility Systems Management Plans and responds to emergency situations as needed. Manages the Facilities staff and the department’s budget. Secures proposals for repairs, maintenance services, and renovations and oversees contractors. Acts as a key resource during the planning and execution of construction projects.
• QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional/Educational

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • Five years’ experience in a facilities maintenance environment required, preferably in a healthcare setting
    • Two years’ experience in a leadership position required, preferably in a healthcare setting
    • Experience in project management preferred
    • Valid IL Driver's License required.
    • Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, Certified Healthcare Safety Professional, or other related professional certification preferred

    • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Outstanding customer service and follow-through
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
