About This Position
Senior Accountant
$84,400 - $116,050 a year
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be a key contributor to the month-end close process and our ongoing customer cycles. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver while also serving as a key point of contact for billing systems.
On a typical day, you might:- Understand the company's business and assist in accounting functions to support accurate and timely financial reporting, optimize processes, and communicate policies across the organization.
- Drive and support the month-end close process, including preparing relevant journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and account analysis on period-over-period account fluctuations.
- Support internal reporting needs to key stakeholders throughout the organization, including month-end variance analysis and other financial insights
- Perform review and analysis of complex revenue contracts under ASC 606 and apply revenue recognition policies
- Work collaboratively with FP&A and financial reporting and others within the organization to assist in understanding our accounting policies as well as help provide guidance on trends, variances, and forecast methodology.
- Participate in various accounting and billing system projects to promote more timely and accurate financial reporting
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, legal, engineering, and product, to support projects and business process improvements
- Leverage AI to streamline internal processes and develop new insights for the business
- Contribute to international audits, accounting research, and special projects as needed, acting as a key contributor to ensure project milestones are met
- Bachelors degree in Accounting required, CPA or progress towards CPA preferred
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIFs) and Google Sheets. Ability to analyze and adapt to new sources of data
- Experience with NetSuite & Floqast a plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees at all levels of the organization and manage relationships with external parties
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements in reporting and to manage multiple projects that promote system improvements and efficiencies
- Possesses determination and perseverance; ability to find more efficient ways to complete responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with NetSuite or other comparable ERP systems preferred
- Saas or technology industry experience preferred
- Public accounting experience a plus
