About This Position

This is a full-time remote position; however, you must reside in one of the following states: AK, FL, GA, NC, SC, OK, TN, TX, MO, VA.
Product Owner
The Product Owner is responsible for end-to-end ownership of product delivery, from requirements gathering through testing, training, and release. This role works closely with business stakeholders and development teams to ensure solutions are clearly defined, thoroughly tested, well-documented, and successfully adopted by users. In this environment, the Product Owner plays a hands-on role in QA, user enablement, and product communication.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring items are clearly defined, prioritized, and ready for development
- Gather and translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and stakeholder demos
- Act as the primary point of contact between business users and technical teams
- Partner with stakeholders to define product vision, roadmap, and success metrics
- Make scope and priority tradeoff decisions based on value, risk, and dependencies
- Perform manual QA testing of new features and enhancements to validate functionality and requirements
- Support release planning, user acceptance testing, and postlaunch evaluation
- Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and release documentation
- Host and facilitate user training sessions and post-release walkthroughs
- Support change management and ensure successful user adoption
Role Requirements (Qualifications)
- 1–3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product delivery lifecycles
- Proven experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
- Hands-on experience performing manual QA testing and validating business requirements
- Experience working directly with developers and cross-functional delivery teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable facilitating meetings, demos, and training sessions
- Experience using Jira for backlog management and sprint tracking
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate
- Experience with enterprise or internal business applications
- Exposure to system integrations or workflow automation
- Experience supporting change management or user adoption initiatives
- Experience supporting compliance driven processes through requirements, testing, and documentation
- Scrum Product Owner or Agile certification (CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role within Agile product development.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with hands-on experience in backlog management.
- Ability to translate business needs into detailed product requirements and user stories.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working with SaaS, ERP, or market-facing COTS products is a plus.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with e-commerce, workflow automation, or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
- Experience in managing integrations and API-driven products.
- Knowledge of best practices in:
- User-Centered Design (UCD)
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automation
- Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience working with Quality Engineering teams to improve product reliability and automation.
