About This Position
Overview:
This engineering position focuses on support of overall production processes with emphasis on ensuring quality, cost control and efficiency improvements are applied as well as assembling quotes on new product opportunities. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of design, usability, and manufacturing efficiency in a profitable manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous Product Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends, gather market feedback, and use insights to drive product improvements and innovations.
- Change Management: Utilize the Engineering Change processes, ensuring all product modifications are documented, communicated, and implemented effectively.
- Quoting: New and existing customers – reviewing customer prints and understanding the materials / process(es) needed to manufacture them in order to quote competitively.
- Solidworks / CAD ability to create / modify prints
- Discussion with customers to review technical requirements and offer solutions
- Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Ability to work continuous improvement of product quality and ISO-9001:2008.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
- 3D Modeling (technical drawings/weldments/assemblies) experience, Solidworks and/or Autocad
- Experience in manufacturing and ability to read blueprints is preferred.
- A Forward-Thinker with a proven ability to think outside of the box and craft creative solutions that challenge and elevate industry standards.
- Effective communications skills to articulate and champion unconventional ideas.
- Ability to positively engage the knowledge and talents of partners in progress in order to help themselves in providing change and continuous improvement
- Desire and ability to plan, measure and achieve results
