Job Summary:
The Regrind Technician supports Blow Molding and Injection Molding operations [KM1] by processing, organizing, and maintaining regrind materials to ensure consistent production quality. This role is responsible for operating and cleaning grinding equipment, managing material flow, assisting with mold changes, and maintaining accurate inventory.
Main Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
· Perform hourly checks and record scrap removed for review by the Production Supervisor.
· Clean dust barrels each shift.
· Carry out Material Handler duties including stocking and restocking virgin resin and regrind.
· Organize, track, and maintain inventory of regrind materials (B125A, B175A), ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
· Coordinate with Production Control to identify and prepare contaminated material for shipment.
· Maintain inventory of regrind materials (M905B, M1020A) used in the Injection Molding process.
· Operate and maintain grinders or granulators to convert scrap plastic into reusable regrind pellets.
· Thoroughly clean grinders, hoppers, and conveying equipment during material changeovers to prevent contamination.
· Ensure processed regrind is blended back into virgin material at the maximum allowable percentage per quality or customer requirements.
· Safely operate material-handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) while following all company safety protocols and PPE requirements.
· Assist with staging and moving finished goods for the shipping department, including pallet wrapping and loading/unloading trucks as needed.
Applewhite facility:
- Load and unload molds using forklift
- Support 5s activities for assigned presses
Requirements:Education:
· High school diploma or GED
Experience:
· Minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment

Computer Skills:
· Basic skills using iPads, data entry, email, and web applications.
Mathematical Abilities:
· Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:
· Ability to understand and follow written technical procedures/instructions
· Ability to identify and report potential quality or safety issues.
Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)
· Ability to read, write and speak English
· Highly effective, articulate communication skills (verbal & written) with strong interpersonal effectiveness and the ability to work with all levels in the organization and across cultures
· Bilingual English-Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements:
Be willing to meet the physical requirements below and work overtime as needed, sometimes with minimum notice (including some weekends and holidays) to cover responsibilities based on the needs of the organization
· 100% spent on the production floor completing work related to the position
· Must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and team lift 50 pounds
· Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
· Must wear all personal protective equipment where required.
