This role is responsible for driving efficiency and operational excellence within the Legal team by managing projects, optimizing contract workflows, and implementing technology-driven solutions. The Legal Project & Operations Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Legal, Finance, Product, Sales, Financial Systems, and Procurement to streamline processes, enhance reporting, and build scalable frameworks. The position requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, proficiency in legal technology platforms, and a track record of executing complex, cross-functional initiatives. By designing repeatable processes and operational playbooks, this role ensures the Legal function delivers high-quality outcomes while enabling the broader business to move quickly. Success in this role combines analytical rigor, technology adoption, and stakeholder management to support the growth and efficiency of the Legal organization.
Accountabilities:- Manage and optimize contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms, including administration, workflow configuration, templates, approvals, integrations, and reporting.
- Maintain data integrity and governance across legal and commercial agreements.
- Design, implement, and scale intake, triage, and lifecycle processes for vendor and commercial contracts.
- Develop playbooks, training materials, and self-service resources to support legal tools and workflows.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiencies.
- Build dashboards and metrics to measure Legal team performance and project outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional legal projects from planning through execution, tracking milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Establish repeatable project management frameworks to support compliance and operational programs.
- Oversee knowledge management including FAQs, intranet content, templates, and legal resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in legal operations, contract management, or legal technology administration.
- Strong proficiency with Ironclad or similar CLM/procurement platforms.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to implement technology, automation, and scalable contract workflows.
- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional initiatives with strong project management skills (PMP or equivalent certification a plus).
- Experience supporting in-house legal teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and solutions-driven.
