Position Description:
This management role will lead our Marketing & Business Development team that provides coordination, editing, writing, formatting, graphic design, desktop publishing presentations, production, SOQ/RFP development and compliance, lead generation, pipeline management, and client outreach.
You Will Find Success in your Ability to:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate the development process of proposals, qualifications, client presentations, internal publications, and multimedia marketing collateral.
- Manage resources, operations, and daily activities of the office’s Marketing Services team.
- Display initiative, direct, and motivate staff consisting of Marketing Specialists, Proposal Manager and team members involved directly or indirectly in business development.
- Develop leads in priority markets of our business.
- Manage the pipeline of projects along with the various stages of procurement, contacts, and resources necessary to build a strong foundation of knowledge that can be used to successfully propose on priority projects.
- Work directly with proposal teams to develop and produce proposals and presentations that fully reflect the client’s requirements and RLW’s value proposition.
- Assist to determine the scope of work, develop compliance checklists, set a production schedule, coordinate level of services and resources, and track any special client requirements.
- Conceptualize, develop, and coordinate sales and marketing collateral including brochures, advertisements, tradeshow materials, and websites.
- Facilitate (or oversee facilitation of) proposal strategy sessions, kickoff meetings, reviews and planning meetings.
- Facilitate (or oversee facilitation of) digital and social media marketing, brand positioning, and analytical tools to measure our impact.
- Develop or facilitate engaging social medial content that showcases our projects and people and tells the story of our excellence in construction.
- Update and manage content in marketing/proposal asset libraries.
- Prepare interview materials and support presentation rehearsals
- Develop leads and organize networking events to introduce our SME’s to clients and customers.
Position Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accredited four (4) year degree or equivalent in English, engineering, journalism, construction management, marketing, communications or business preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience in Proposal development, Marketing and/or Business Development (preferably in a Construction or Engineering environment)
- Advanced knowledge of a variety of software packages including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint in a Windows environment, online integrated proposal management systems, and capability to integrate into final product.
- Strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to lead are a must
- Able to organize, expedite, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Keen sense of attention to detail
- Able to accommodate a flexible schedule; willing and able to adapt to the demands of a high-paced corporate environment
- Able to manage others and work with minimal supervision
- Capable of applying marketing and business development principles to Ralph L Wadsworth's business activities.
