Shipping Coordinator at THE KONG COMPANY LLC – North Canton, Ohio

This position assists the Office Manager and Shipping Supervisor with ensuring that customer orders are shipped on time and accurate. Serves as back up to Supervisor.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

· Ensure that customer orders are shipped on time and to required specifications utilizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other computer software.

· Liaison between Account Services and Warehouse operations.

· Clerical tasks include: order office supplies, maintain office records, file paperwork, communicate and distribute information to various department, and schedule delivery and receiving appointments.

· Support all other departments as and when required

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other staff members.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong ability to research and seek out information necessary to resolve supply issues.

· Strong organizational skills. Detail-oriented.

· Strong computer processing skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Work well with tight deadlines, be flexible as priorities change.

· Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and quickly learn new skills.

· Ability to use independent judgment, analyze information and formulate recommendations.

· Ability to operate powered industrial trucks, including pallet jack (manual or electric) and standard and articulating forklift

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Team lift up to 100 lbs.

· Basic mathematical skills

· Ability to see items near and in the distance; have peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

· May require standing for up to 10 hours.

· Employee must use hands, fingers, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms sometime above head, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
