This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a BFSI Business Development Executive Director in Canada.

This is a senior revenue-focused leadership role driving growth across the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector in Canada. The position is centered on building and expanding executive-level relationships, originating new consulting engagements, and closing high-value transformation deals. You will operate as a key market builder, shaping strategic opportunities across Tier 1 financial institutions while leveraging a strong industry network. The role combines hands-on business development, executive advisory engagement, and pursuit leadership in complex digital and operational transformation initiatives. You will collaborate closely with delivery and subject matter experts to convert opportunities into long-term client partnerships. Success in this role is defined by measurable revenue growth across new logos and existing accounts. It is a high-impact, autonomous position requiring strong commercial instinct and deep BFSI expertise.

Accountabilities
  • Own and drive revenue growth across the Canadian BFSI market, delivering against defined annual targets for new and existing clients.
  • Originate, qualify, and close net-new advisory and consulting engagements within banking and insurance sectors.
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy focused on expanding market presence and building a strong qualified pipeline.
  • Leverage executive relationships to access C-suite stakeholders and convert strategic conversations into business opportunities.
  • Lead end-to-end pursuit activities, from opportunity qualification through proposal development and contract negotiation.
  • Partner with internal experts to design tailored solutions aligned with client transformation priorities and commercial goals.
  • Act as executive sponsor on key engagements, ensuring alignment between client expectations and delivery execution.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to long-term account growth strategies.
  • Support thought leadership and market positioning efforts for the BFSI practice.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in the BFSI sector, with significant focus on business development, sales, or executive relationship management.
  • Proven track record of originating and closing multi-million-dollar consulting or advisory engagements.
  • Established executive network across Canadian Tier 1 banks, insurers, or major financial institutions.
  • Strong experience selling digital transformation, cloud, operating model, sourcing strategy, or cost optimization services.
  • Deep understanding of BFSI operating models, vendor ecosystems, and commercial structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
  • Strong proposal development, negotiation, and deal-closing capabilities.
  • Experience in leading or supporting small to mid-sized teams in complex consulting environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex solutions for senior executives.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree considered a strong asset.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating within a global matrix organization.
Benefits
  • Competitive executive compensation aligned with senior revenue responsibility.
  • Performance-based incentives tied to business growth and revenue achievement.
  • Remote-first role with flexibility and autonomy.
  • Opportunity to work with leading financial institutions on high-impact transformation programs.
  • Exposure to strategic, C-level advisory engagements and enterprise-scale deals.
  • Collaborative global environment with strong consulting and delivery support teams.
  • Career growth opportunities within a senior BFSI leadership structure.
