Job Description
Join the City of Vandalia as a seasonal Public Works Technician. Under general supervision, the Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Technician performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance work and operates various equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City water, sewer, street, and storm drainage facilities and systems. Candidates must be at least 18 and have a valid state of Ohio driver's license. Those with demonstrated successful experience in landscaping, light construction work and/or heavy equipment operation will be given first consideration.
Positions are seasonal with a 40-hour work week. The chosen candidates must be available to work 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with the possibility of weekends during special events.
The hourly pay is $17.13. As a seasonal employee, you will be able to contribute to the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System. This opportunity is ideal for a college student, retiree or as a supplement to another flexible part-time job.
