As the Painter, you have knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques. You are a team player with an eagerness to grow and help those around you. You produce quality work in a team environment with limited supervision. You can make decisions about the quality of the final product and safety of work performed.
As a Painter with Maintainer, you will be responsible for:
- Assists coworkers in the operation and set up of specific paint equipment and paint processes. Teaches, coaches and trains others. Mentoring co-workers on job related techniques.
- Interprets and communicates blueprints and/or shop drawings for product specifications in the paint area.
- Performs repair work, applies undercoat, and paints all crane parts and manufacturing standards per the manufacturing schedule. Has in-depth knowledge of products and paint processes in the following areas: Paint Final/Repair; Paint Prep; and Undercoating.
- Produces work that conforms to customer specifications and company standards understanding the importance of doing it right the first time before passing it on. Refers to blueprints, technical drawings and other written directions. Works at different workstations as needs require.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years related experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as ratios, percentages, proportions, area and volume.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
