This role sits at the intersection of editorial strategy, audience intelligence, and business growth. You will be responsible for uncovering what senior professional audiences truly care about and translating those insights into actionable direction for content, product, and subscription growth. Working across research, interviews, surveys, and partner inputs, you will help the organization make evidence-based decisions grounded in real user needs. The position blends editorial judgment with analytical thinking, requiring someone who can connect qualitative and quantitative signals into clear narratives. You will directly influence what gets published, how it performs, and how it converts audiences into long-term subscribers. Operating in a collaborative, fast-evolving digital media environment, your work will shape both strategic priorities and day-to-day execution.
You will be responsible for building a deep and structured understanding of the target audience by gathering insights from multiple sources and translating them into strategic direction.
- Lead audience research initiatives through surveys, interviews, events, community feedback, and partner collaborations
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs into clear, actionable insights for editorial and leadership teams
- Identify patterns in audience needs, behaviors, and preferences to guide content and product strategy
- Translate research findings into recommendations tied to business outcomes, including engagement and subscriber growth
- Develop insight-driven reports, editorial content, and research products that support audience acquisition and retention
- Define and track performance metrics for research-driven initiatives and continuously optimize based on results
- Build repeatable frameworks for collecting, analyzing, and applying audience intelligence across the organization
You bring experience at the intersection of research, content, and audience strategy, with a strong ability to turn complex information into clear and actionable insights.
- Experience in research, editorial intelligence, audience development, or analytics-driven content roles
- Strong ability to synthesize qualitative inputs (interviews, conversations) and quantitative data into insights
- Proven experience designing and running surveys or structured research initiatives
- Ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations that influence editorial or product decisions
- Experience creating reports, content, or products based on research or audience intelligence
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas for diverse stakeholders
- Comfort working across editorial, product, marketing, and partnership teams in a fast-paced environment
- Nice to have: experience with executive interviews, co-created research projects, or AI-enabled analysis tools
- Annual salary range: CAD 120,000 – 155,000 (based on experience and location)
