VP of Enterprise Sales, Payments

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving enterprise growth within the payments and fintech ecosystem, leading high-value sales strategy and execution across complex, multi-stakeholder deals. The VP of Enterprise Sales will define and scale go-to-market approaches for large enterprise clients, building long-term strategic partnerships and expanding market presence. This role requires a strong blend of commercial leadership, deep industry expertise, and hands-on execution across the full enterprise sales cycle. You will lead and mentor a high-performing sales organization while directly influencing revenue growth and customer acquisition at scale. Acting as a key executive-facing leader, you will engage with major enterprise clients to understand their payment needs and deliver tailored solutions. This is a highly strategic yet execution-driven role operating at the intersection of payments innovation and enterprise expansion.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and scale the enterprise sales strategy for payments, driving acquisition, retention, and expansion of large enterprise clients.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing enterprise sales team focused on achieving ambitious revenue targets.
  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle, from pipeline generation to negotiation and closing of complex, high-value deals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level enterprise clients, acting as a trusted advisor on payments solutions.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive long-term client success and business growth.
  • Lead contract negotiations ensuring alignment with profitability, compliance, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to align offerings with market and client needs.
  • Monitor market trends in payments, fintech, and crypto to inform strategy and competitive positioning.
  • Define and track key sales KPIs, providing regular reporting and insights to executive leadership.
  • Drive team culture focused on performance, accountability, collaboration, and customer success.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, including at least 5 years in payments, fintech, or related financial technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise sales teams and consistently closing large, complex deals.
  • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including payment processing, merchant services, card networks, and alternative payment methods.
  • Strong knowledge of fintech and crypto trends, technologies, and competitive landscapes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing sales organizations.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multi-stakeholder, high-pressure enterprise sales cycles.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to optimize sales performance and decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience in fintech startups and/or traditional payments organizations.
