About the RoleReporting to the Director Environmental Assessment, this role will be responsible to provide leadership and direction to activities related to planning studies, environmental assessments and permit applications for Ensero projects and clients.Key Reponsibilities
  • Provides direction and activities related to planning studies, environmental assessments and permit applications for Ensero projects and clients.
  • Lead the design and development of environmental and social impact assessments reports for Ensero projects and clients, including EA scoping, drafting of text, editing of text developed by technical disciplines, and providing senior strategic review of documents.
  • Lead and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary technical teams proactively identify opportunities to improve project environmental design aspects and streamline regulatory processes.
  • Provide corporate technical support to Ensero projects with regard to environmental compliance, governance and permitting.
  • Interface and communicate with First Nations, various levels of government, stakeholders and communities to advance EA and permitting activities.
  • Support engagement, consultation, and collaboration with First Nations to integrate input and knowledge into EA and permit applications.
  • Represent Ensero Solutions and our clients in regulatory and community meetings, workshops and events and oversee the preparation of presentation materials.
  • Keep abreast of existing and pending legislation and regulation changes which may impact Ensero projects or our clients projects. Coordinate and disseminate regulatory information within the company.
  • Develop professional and business relationships across the industry to better advance Enseros growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Supports the writing and development of client proposals and explores business development opportunities in mining and other sectors.
  • Conducts senior reviews of technical deliverables and programs in area(s) of expertise.
  • Supports risk analysis with project management.
  • Mentor and provide technical training to junior and intermediate team members
  • All other duties as required
About You
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • 7 - 9 years of previous experience working in environmental consulting, A/E/C or relevant industry.
  • Experience in building relationships and engaging with First Nations and all levels of Government.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Yukons, NWTs, Nunavuts and BCs (and other jurisdictions) impact assessment and licensing regime for resource development projects.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members as well as lead multi-disciplinary projects
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business software
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
