Solicitation- (1) Radiological Technologist/Laboratory Assistant- Jicarilla Service Unit in Dulce, New Mexico at Akicita Federal, LLC

Location: Dulce, New Mexico (Jicarilla Service Unit)

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Core Responsibilities

Diagnostic Imaging: Independently perform digital radiological examinations and bone density scans for a variety of patients, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult.

Study Execution: Conduct routine digitalized studies of the neck, trunk, and extremities to locate injuries, pathological conditions, or foreign bodies.

Patient Care & Positioning: Secure patient cooperation and utilize proper positioning, including the use of immobilizing straps or sandbags to obtain requested views.

Radiation Safety: Apply thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards to shield patients with lead devices and restrict X-ray beams to designated areas.

Technical Operations: Calculate and set exposure factors (time, distance, kilo-voltage, and milliamperage) and monitor equipment for proper operation.

Quality Control: Ensure all radiographs are read by a certified radiologist and reports are delivered to medical providers promptly.

Qualification Requirements

Education: Degree from an accredited school for Radiology Technology.

Licensing: Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) license and a valid, unrestricted license to perform general radiographic procedures in the state of New Mexico.

Certifications: Mandatory current Basic Life Support (BLS).

Experience: Minimum of two years of experience with basic X-ray or trauma work is preferred.
