Lead Designer - REMOTE

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Product Designer - REMOTE. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the evolution of the design system across web and mobile platforms. Your leadership will empower teams to accelerate their workflow, ensuring high-quality designs are consistently delivered. By integrating AI readiness into the design process, you will influence how design is documented and consumed, creating a shared framework for designers, engineers, and AI tools alike. This impactful role is pivotal in maximizing efficiency and fostering an inclusive design culture within our partner company.
Accountabilities
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and evolution of the design system across web and mobile.
  • Set and uphold quality standards, including accessibility and brand fidelity.
  • Architect components for AI consumption and collaborate closely with engineering.
  • Drive adoption through clear documentation, mentoring, and contribution models.
  • Shape AI-assisted design workflows and evaluate new design tools.
  • Mentor designers on systems thinking and accessibility best practices.
  • Define metrics to measure the health and consistency of the design system.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of product design experience with a focus on web and mobile.
  • Experience in building and scaling a design system.
  • Strong product design fundamentals with excellent visual and interaction skills.
  • Fluency in modern front-end concepts and ability to collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Experience with AI tools in design workflow, particularly using Figma.
  • Knowledge in setting and implementing accessibility standards.
  • Proficient in Figma and documentation tools like Storybook or Notion.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
