This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of security, trust, and customer engagement, responsible for shaping how security is communicated and operationalized across the customer journey. You will lead a specialized Field Security function that directly influences deal velocity, customer confidence, and long-term retention. Acting as both a strategic advisor and external-facing security expert, you will help translate complex security and compliance concepts into clear, actionable guidance for customers and internal teams. The role blends technical depth with executive presence, requiring close collaboration with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Compliance stakeholders. You will play a key part in strengthening enterprise trust while enabling faster, more secure business growth. This is a highly visible leadership position with direct impact on revenue and customer success.
- Lead and scale the Field Security team, setting direction, developing talent, and fostering a culture of customer-centric security advocacy and excellence
- Support deal acceleration by responding to security questionnaires, resolving customer security concerns, and removing friction in enterprise sales cycles
- Act as a trusted security advisor to customers and internal stakeholders, helping drive retention, expansion, and secure adoption of solutions
- Serve as a security evangelist through thought leadership, external engagement, and participation in industry discussions and forums
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to align security messaging and operational practices
- Establish operational frameworks, metrics, and reporting to track team performance, SLA adherence, and process efficiency
- Continuously improve security operations, scaling processes to support growing customer and deal volumes
- 10+ years of experience in security solutions, security architecture, sales engineering, or related security/customer-facing roles
- 5+ years of leadership experience building and managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks including NIST 800-53, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP (Moderate/IL4 preferred)
- Proven ability to support complex enterprise sales processes, including security reviews and procurement cycles
- Experience collaborating across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product, and Compliance organizations
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CRISC are strongly preferred
- Strategic mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across organizations
