City Pick-up & Delivery Driver at Mustang Freightways Ltd. – Red Deer County, Alberta

Central Prairie Cartage is currently looking to grow its Red Deer terminal! We are looking for a City P&D Driver to work Monday to Friday starting at 7:30am.

We are a diversified, general freight carrier offering both LTL & TL services in Alberta and British Columbia. At Mustang, our team takes pride in its service-excellence, to meet and exceed our customer expectations

As a Class 1 City Pick-Up & Delivery Driver you load and unload your truck while completing pick-ups and deliveries around the Edmonton and surrounding area. Duties will include;

• Complete pick up and deliveries in and around Red Deer using a 53-foot trailer or pup
• Responsible for assisting with loading and unloading of truck and safe operation of pallet jack, power jack, or forklift.
• Complete daily logs and comply with hours-of-service regulations.
• Conduct daily inspection of the vehicle.
• Manual lifting, up to 50 lbs.
• Overtime required.

The ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Valid Class 1 operator’s license
• 2-5 years driving experience
• Deck experience is an asset
• Forklift experience an asset
• General knowledge of the freight industry
• Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding safe operation of commercial vehicles, hours of service, and handling of dangerous goods
• Positive attitude with the ability to work alone or in a team environment
• Strong communication skills are a must
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
