Pulmonary Medicine Associates (PMA) has been treating patients in the greater Sacramento area since 1973 and is a unique and exciting place to work. With specialties that include critical care, infectious disease, palliative care, pulmonology, pediatric pulmonology, sleep medicine, and travel medicine, we are a busy practice with over 80 providers and 2 outpatient clinic locations.

PMA currently has a full-time Patient Service Representative position available at our Roseville clinic. General Duties Include:

  • Greet and check in/check out patients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Answer high-volume phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments across multiple specialties
  • Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and collect copays
  • Update and maintain accurate patient demographic and medical information
  • Manage referrals, medical records requests, and provider messages
  • Coordinate patient flow and communicate with clinical staff regarding scheduling or urgent concerns
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Perform general administrative and front-office duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1–2 years of medical front office, healthcare customer service, or patient registration experience preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume medical practice strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain professional under pressure
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
