In this role, you will be a key bridge between data engineering and analytics, transforming complex datasets into reliable, well-structured, and actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will design and build scalable data models, enabling high-quality dashboards and self-service analytics across teams. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will partner with data analysts, engineers, and product teams to ensure data is consistent, accessible, and business-ready. Your work will directly influence decision-making by improving how data is structured, queried, and visualized. You will also contribute to the evolution of modern data platforms, leveraging cutting-edge tools and methodologies. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into structured, reliable, and scalable analytical models that empower decision-making across the organization:
- Build and maintain complex SQL-based data models, including advanced queries using CTEs, joins, unions, and subqueries.
- Develop and optimize transformation workflows using dbt to ensure scalable and maintainable analytics layers.
- Design and deliver high-quality dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Metabase, Looker, or Tableau, turning data into clear business narratives.
- Work with modern data platforms such as Databricks and Google BigQuery to build reliable analytical pipelines.
- Support data migration processes and maintain legacy data systems while improving performance and structure.
- Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to ensure consistency, quality, and usability of data across the organization.
- Explore and apply AI-driven tools and generative AI capabilities to improve analytics efficiency and workflow automation.
You should bring strong analytical and technical expertise in data modeling, transformation, and visualization, along with a product-oriented and problem-solving mindset:
- Strong proficiency in SQL for building complex queries and data transformations.
- Hands-on experience with dbt for data modeling and analytics engineering workflows.
- Experience working with Databricks and cloud-based data environments.
- Solid understanding of Google BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses.
- Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines, including migration from legacy systems.
- Proficiency with at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Metabase, Looker, Tableau).
- Familiarity with modern data practices and emerging technologies, including generative AI applications in analytics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
- Knowledge of Dataform is a plus.
